BBQ Tips

It may surprise you, but there is a lot more to barbecuing than just putting some burgers and sausages on to a grill and letting them cook. Obviously, you will want the food that you cook on a barbecue to taste good and look edible, and it doesn’t matter if you are cooking meat or vegetables, you want your guests to say that your barbecued food was the best. Therefore, in this article, we will take a closer look at some useful BBQ tips.

There are many different kinds of foods that you can grill on a BBQ, and one of the most common after burgers and sausages is ribs. However, people like to grill all kinds of foods when cooking outdoors and that includes corn-on-the-cob, steaks, potatoes and chicken, but whatever you want to BBQ, it is important to make sure that your grill is clean. This is one of the most important BBQ tips because germs can infect food if the grill is not 100% clean, and in addition to that, you certainly do not want the flavor of a previous meal interfering with your latest one.

Protecting the Grill

A few people like to protect their grill by covering it with aluminum foil, however, this does take away the grill marks that a lot of people like, unless you wish to have the chore of wrapping the foil around each individual grill rod.

There is one method that you can use in order to prevent food from sticking to the grill, and that is to make sure that you spray it with non-stick cooking spray or oil, which is something that is best done before you light the BBQ.

Cooking Meat

As far as BBQ tips go, one of the most useful is the prevention of meat juices from dripping on to the flames and hot coals, which means that you should always use either tongs or a spatula for turning the food over. For the best results when cooking on a BBQ, one good BBQ tips that people often forget is to leave space between foods, as an overcrowded grill can make turning meat difficult.

There are many BBQ tips out there, and everyone has their own method of cooking outdoors, but if you are pushed for time, you can always cheat a little and pre-cook the meat. This is especially useful when cooking ribs, which can help them to cook a lot faster and things like potatoes and corn should definitely be pre-cooked. For the most part, sausages and burgers are quite quick to cook, so they don’t need to be pre-cooked. You do not have to cook everything thoroughly, as you can part cook them and finish them off on the barbecue grill.
